I waited 3 hours to vote in Florida today.
When I arrived I tried to count how many people were in front of me waiting to vote. I lost track at 75 - there must have been 250-300.
As I was waiting an additional 50-60 showed up to vote.

I saw perhaps 10 - 15 young persons (in there early twenties). I overheard someone mention the line to vote at another place was all the way outside.

My mom went to vote at the courthouse and voted absentee because the line was very big.

I parked next to a truck that had a 'vet for John Kerry' sign on the driver side door.

2 more votes for John Kerry.

1. I waited 3 hours too.
Would say most were Kerry supporters. The line circled the supervisor of election building twice!

2. My daughter was voting today in FL.
I'll have to call her and ask how it went.

Short cheery story - 2 of her coworkers are rabid * supporters. She had told them she was voting today and they loaded on the religious bull trying to sway her. NO luck for them of course. She asked when they were voting. Neither were registered. LOL

10. If they didn't breed, I wouldn't have been born...
Often fundie/repub parents end up with very liberal offspring.:)

13. Our favoriye drug addict
Rush limp... didn't register to vote until 86, and then only because some other reporter shamed him into it. Never voted for his hero, raygun. Wonder if he exercised his registration since.

5. I don't get it -- how large are your precincts?
Here in SW Ohio we must have much smaller precincts.

"Two more votes for John Kerry." I like the sound of that!

Thanks for waiting in that long line, Tony.

8. No, they're voting early
For early voting, there are only a few locations in the county. On election day, there will be far more precincts open.

I'm not sure why people are waiting in line when you can vote early with absentee ballots. Much easier, and plenty of time to read through each item and make a decision. And educational as well (the kids, my wife and myself discussed each item before voting on it).

11. I wanted over an hour
on Friday. I got in line after work at about 4pm. By the time I got to vote the long was as long as when I started. People were coming in after 5 trying to get in line. Others were sitting around filling out absentee ballots. There were at least 10 voting machines in the room. Otheres who voted early had similar wait times. I can't even imagine what it's going to be like on Tuesday.
