Fahrenheit 9/11
saw it for the first time today. not online, but i rented it at the aafes video store at a military base in japan. quite surprised they had it. more surprised that i got the last copy before they were all out this weekend.

it is a pleasure to see michael moore say with legitimacy what some of us blurted out clumsily way back when. cried about 5 times. by the way, we see amputees daily on the armed forces television network public service announcements. very sad, especially to hear some say they would go again in a minute if called to serve in iraq.

favorite moment is actually text on the screen before a special added feature (bush after VISIT with 9/11 commission):

After months of negotiations, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney agreed to meet behind closed doors with the 9-11 Commission, with the following conditions: they would not be under oath; they would appear together; and the session would not be recorded, transcribed or made public.

even after so long, this sh*t still makes you say

:wtf: ; :wtf: ; and :wtf:

4. My husband and I saw it for the first time last night.
We were already morally outraged, that is why it took us so long to watch it. I almost vomited during the President's remarks about the "good conversation". I also found it quite interesting that Saudis, especially Usama's family members, were able to leave the US before the govt made the Al Queda link known. I've never hated a public official more than I hate Bush and Chaney.

6. Buy the DVD
My parents bought the DVD and it has about 80 minutes of extra footage. I need to get it ripped and posted somewhere, unless somebody else did it. Anybody know?
