I say to all Libertarians that they should move to a third world country. Lot's of "limited government" there.

1. I actually got into the Libertarian thing many years ago... |
|
But when I did, I learned more about it and got right back out of it. If you think about it, the whole idea is really pretty attractive. Except that it doesn't take human nature into account. Now I'm an Anarchist who understands that Anarchy would be even worse than a Libertarian limited-government scenario. Sigh...

actually even worse - a Christian libertarian. To me that seems a contradiction.

2. Two words that break the libertarian ideal... |

Judgement Proof.
The libertarians seem to think personal responsibilty means getting people to compensate for what they destroy, forgeting that people with the resources to destroy, are only rarely likely to have the resources to compensate...

4. A lot of Browncoats are "small-L" libertarians... |
|
...and they tend not to join up with parties and organizations. Makes you wonder how representative the "big-L" Libertarian Party is of its avowed principles.

No functioning government since the early 1990s. Armed warlords controlling different parts of the country. Anyone who wants to sets up their own infrastructure or just siezes control of existing ones (phone, power, roads, maybe wireless and internet) and charges others to use it.
That's a good working example of what the Libertarian platform would lead to.
In the U.S. their "privatize everything" platform would mean every time you want to leave your own property you have to pay a toll, to use the roads, sidewalks, bridges, or just to cross somebody else's property. Those who don't own property or don't have the money to pay "user fees" and tolls will be out of luck.
