US Election Tensions Overflow in Mexico Expat Town
SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE, Mexico (Reuters) - A mob of white-haired churchgoers pelts a man with paper balls. A guest at a genteel dinner party suddenly threatens to throw a fellow guest off his rocking chair.

Campaigners have turned this sleepy refuge for painters and yoga enthusiasts into a political hotbed, persuading hundreds of American expatriates who hadn't voted in years that their absentee ballots are important

"We're very frustrated because there's nothing more we can do. The mood is tense," said Bruce Rossley, head of Democrats Abroad in San Miguel, where he has lived for three years.
