6. ads for newsmax running below it
Edited on Sun Oct-31-04 11:16 AM by morgan2
"call 1-800-newsmax"

flashed at the bottom nothing else..

Its listed as paid programming on tvguide.. I'm guessing newsmax paid for it to be aired. Every now and then "go to newsmax.com"
and "call 1-800-newsmax" on the bottom of the screen.

7. Too many stations airing it...
If I'm not mistaken, both the CBS affiliate in Orlando and ABC affiliate in Miami aired it. And both of these stations are owned by not Sinclair, not PAX, but The Washington Post...

8. Response to Swifties
I sent this letter to our newspaer after they published one from a person attacking Kerry's Vietnam testimony. I felt that it was Stolen Honor inspired because the talking points were similar. Text is as follows. The TU is a winger paper with no balanced reporting. My letter will never see dead fish so if any of you can use it or any part of it get it out there. The last pargraph is a dooze.

Mr. Logdson(usmc ret.) yours is a common misstatement concerning John Kerry's testimony to the congressional subcommittee. If you will take the time to go to republicansforkerry.com there is a very informative parsing of his exact words all of which are in context. He never once denigrated the men who fought and died in Vietnam. He denigrated the failing, flawed policies of several administrations that brought us to that moment. He included Johnson, McNamara, Bundy and others. Those were the men he took to task for squandering the lives and wealth of a nation in a war which could not be won. His comments about atrocities were taken from testimony from several vets at the Winter Soldiers project. Some of these accounts may have been erroneous but not all were. We now know about the Tiger Brigades, free fire zones, body counts, finger necklaces ear collections carpet-bombing civilian populations and much much more. McNamara himself in Fog of War apologizes for his part in the Vietnam War. He states that they were wrong.

Mr. Logdson, if you want someone who denigrated the brave men and women of Vietnam go to The Wall find the day that George W. Bush refused to take a physical in order to continue flying his fighter. Find that day Mr. Logdson put your hand on the Wall and ask the dead what they think. Ask them who denigrated whom, who broke their trust, who broke faith with this band of brothers. I know the answer and it isn't John Kerry.
