Poll question: Is the Plame story EVER going to make a ripple in this election? |
|
One after another, I see new threads popping up saying that the newest development in the Plame story is going to be devastating for *. And week after week, I see NOTHING about Plame , EVER in the mainstream media. I admire their persistence in beating this drum, but will Americans ever get incensed about this story? Will the media really cover it before Tuesday?

3. You must not have looked hard enough |

or given it enough thought. While we all would have loved indictments handed down, the grand jury is still holding hearings. Several court hearings are scheduled in November.
But there have been hundreds of articles in newspapers over the past few months. Even if you don't "google," you could have read literally hundreds linked on the Plame threads.
The case has also resulted in many people from the IC opposing the administration. There are also books that deal with the case, and people like Ambassador Wilson and John Dean have spoken about it across the country. And a significant number of people from DU have sent LTTE on the case.
My guess is that those who read the articles and books, and listened to the speakers, and wrote LTTE, and watched the IC expose the administration on the Iraqi invasion, and figured out the strong connections between Plame, the forged Niger documents, and the neocon spy scandal, have played an important role in the election.
