Just got my new Almanac of American Politics
I think I want to throw up.

Michael Barone is absolutely enamored with George W. Bush. His introductory article just drools all over this guy. You'd think he was a leader of Churchillian greatness and Rooseveltian vision. He has not one critical thing to say, not one.

The state of American politics? Most Americans are conservative and Repubilcan. The Democrats are doomed unless they start adopting the issue positions of Zell Miller and Joe Lieberman. The writeups of Senators, Representatives and Governors constantly give the benefit of the doubt to Republican officeholders and Republican issue position.

I want the liberal media back.

1. Barone has gotten increasingly conservative
but the book is still beneficial for election statistics and facts about congressional districts and the people in them.
