I have to counter this (comes after pub propaganda about violent Democrats).

There have been several reports of such things in the past few months. Yet I've heard no similar reports of Bush supporters destroying Kerry signs (at least not here in New Mexico), nor have I heard of physical attacks against Kerry supporters just because they were wearing Kerry shirts and such (verbal attacks are on both sides I'm sure, though again I haven't heard as many stories from the Kerry side).

All of the above is pure anacedote...no cites, just my personal observations. Perhaps similar Kerry attacks have just not been reported. But my personal take on this is that the left wing side of the Democrats are a LOT more vicious this election.

In our town and surrounding area of about 100,000 we have had hundreds of Kerry signs, from yard signs to the big ones cabled up on buildings stolen. One kind soul turned in a dumpster full of stolen Kerry signs to the Democratic headquarters so we could recycle them. Some neighborhoods (mine included) have been raided 2-3 times. At our protest of Cheney's visit to our town this week, a Republican shoved one of us down and out into the street. Hope this helps.
