Sorry if this is a dupe, but something to watch for today:
From www.atrios.blogspot.com
A rumor from a reliable source suggests that there's a good chance that Tommy Thompson is set to announce that drug reimportation from Canada will be fully legalized.
I'm sure that, if this happens, it'll be a big "read the fine print" bait and switch.
Treat as rumor until confirmed, presumably at a 10AM or so press conference...
...or, more generally, it could be some other major senior pandering drug thing...
...just to add, this is *rumor* as I said. I wouldn't publish unless I thought it was a plausible rumor, but that doesn't mean it's a *true* rumor. I normally don't traffic in too many unconfirmed things, but this close to the election there's value in putting this stuff out there before the fact. -Atrios

if there is any truth to this at all then it will likely be a bottle of baby aspirin once a year. USA's "DRUG LORDS" will not allow it.
Is it true that Michael Moore's new film is to exanime the drug industry?

The problem is that he's still going to be in office after the election until January.
Want to make a bet that he'll screw things up worse, just to make sure that Kerry has a harder row to hoe?

in Wisconsin. She says Tommy Thompson so effectively eliminated ANY kind of help for the poor/disadvantaged that they all left the state in droves. Kid need special ed? My sister's neighbors had to leave the state to get their son an education. She has lived in Maryland, Virginia, Oklahoma, Texas, and California. While living out west, she drove all over the country on numerous occasions. Colorado a lot. Wyoming. All over Texas. She says Wisconsin is the first place she has lived where she see NO really poor people.
