Bush website inaccessible from Australia
United States President George W Bush's campaign website is inaccessible from outside the United States, blocking access for Americans living in Australia.

The Republican President's campaign says it is aware of the problem and has received telephone calls about it but declined to comment further.

When the web address .georgewbush.com is typed from abroad, the following message appears: "Access Denied. You don't have permission to access ".georgewbush.com/" on this server."

The British website Netcraft, which analyses Internet traffic to detect fraud and count the most visited sites, says the Bush campaign website has been inaccessible from London, Sydney and Amsterdam since Monday. Canada is not affected.

Mr Bush's re-election website was also down and inaccessible for hours on Tuesday in what campaign officials said could be the work of hackers.

But the BBC reports the wider international block does not appear to be due to an attack by vandals or politically motivated hackers.
