It's interesting that Osama's quote about the American "Media Machine" wasn't widely reported in American media. Our networks just can't bring themselves to allow anything past the filters that might indict them - true or not.

The whole atmosphere around tape was suspect, and I believe it's nothing more than a Rovian machination.

How would such an extremist have so much better a grasp on the realities of American politics than 35% of our own citizens?

I have a feeling that this tape was nothing more than a tactic to turn democratic talking-points into terrorist ones through association.

The man's so deluded that he's taken to questioning the veracity of his own party's October Surprise. It takes a tremendous amount of balloon-animal logic to twist your mind into a perverted enough shape to come up with such tripe and actually believe it.

So, Rush, what would be the Kerry camp's reasoning for making a computer-generated version of bin Laden that repeats "liberal talking points"?

Rush, would the endorsement of "liberal" ideas (mind you, they're only 'liberal ideas' in that they're the truth) from the mouth of a reviled terrorist somehow swing the election in a liberal's favor? Wouldn't Americans respond in a reactionary manner - immediately rejecting the ravings of this madman, and thereby rallying around Bush; wasn't that the intended result?

For one to believe that the Kerry camp has willingly manufactured this video for their own ends, wouldn't it require the out-of-touch and absolutely inane line of thinking that categorizes liberals as terrorist-sympathizers? Otherwise, wouldn't Kerry shooting himself in the foot with this poor choice of association?

If this OBL appearance was a manufactured ploy by the right-wing to turn the embrace of understanding reality into the embrace of terrorism, then they forgot to hand the talking-points memo to Rush. Apparently, he forgot what angle he should be spinning it from.
