You can't "save picture as" so I put it in Word pad. Can you post it as a jpg here?

I have a site I pay to link to, but I can not get it out of word format.

8. Damn those third-party candidates!
Why didn't we think to sue to kick Michael Peroutka, Stanford (Andy) Andress, Gene Amondson, David Cobb, Michael Badnarik, Bill Van Auken, James Harris, Earl Dodge, and Walter Brown off the ballot? Those bastards got a total of 22% of the vote! More than seven times what Nader got!!

Oh, wait, the election hasn't happened yet, has it? I guess they just make up the numbers ahead of time and then fix the voting machines to match, is that how it works?

19. Interesting they have Dave Thomas that close.
With the ugliness of the attacks against him, it was supposed to be a huge loss.

So, maybe there's actually some hope there.

26. Yes, but these words are there:
1071 of 3086 precincts....they give the number of precincts supposedly reporting.

Maybe a test run. But this has happened too often.

24. They've changed the results screen already
No longer shows complete race, now shows no complete precinct reports with Kerry in lead slightly this time.

25. RELAX!!!!!!
Edited on Mon Nov-01-04 04:38 PM by Adams Wulff
The Rocky Mountain News had a feature this year called "Ballot Builder" Where visitors to the site could fill out their ballots online, print it, and take it to the polls as a cheat sheet to remember their choices.
The Rocky saved those choices as a poll, and the result of that poll is published at the website you're looking at.

I hope...

The AP page was pretty bad as well.

30. Sorry, I think you're wrong
I was on the site and it kept changing. At first, like madfloridian said, it showed Bush had won with 3018 of 3018 precincts reporting.

Then it kept changing, showing different numbers of precincts reporting and different numbers for the vote/percentages.

Then the site re-directed me, even from a bookmark, then it started coming up with an innocuous site index.

Here is a screenshot that I took during one of those times.

The more I look at this, the dumber the Rocky Mountain News looks, and the more I feel stupid for getting sucked in. I should know better.

33. hey that's cool. It's hard to completely distrust the media
when we've been brought up to believe it.

At my most optimistic, perhaps this is a test page they're running in preparation for tomorrow, with fake results.

But we don't know, do we?

43. Yeah - really funny!
Why am I not laughing.

ASSHOLES like these ALWAYS have the Democratic Party or Democratic Persons as the brunt of such "stunts" - "but it's only a joke" or "it was only to test our shit".

Well, I'm for one, tired of this krap!

Assholes!

27. This reminded me of what they did to Dean the morning of WI.
They announced the results on a news site before the day had hardly begun. No matter what this is, it is not funny.

41. This is what it says now
A note to our readers:
Months of planning and development are involved in building an election site. Part of this planning involves testing our systems to ensure they will work properly on Election Day. On Monday, some readers accessed a link to a test page that was not intended for public viewing. This page contained test data from an Associated Press feed with numbers that showed candidates winning and losing.
Please visit RockyMountainNews.com after 5 p.m. Tuesday when voting results will begin to come in from the East Coast. Log on after 7 p.m. for results from Colorado’s races.
