Someone who was verified by the DU admins and other long-time DUers to be a top strategist for the Dems joined DU and tried to initiate discussions about how to use the DU community to organize and help Kerry.
For various reasons, it turned out be rather controversial here and didn't really work out. He talked about the Kerry campaign using political jujitsu, whereas some wanted to see some political boxing from the campaing. The campaign seemed to be struggling at the time. Some people felt the poster was bit arrogant, and/or resented the idea that DU should be 'harnessed' in some way. That's my attempt at a neutral analysis of the situation.
Anyway, this person said he/she would reveal their identity after the election.
