A President Who Supports Evil
Is this country blind? Can they not see what has been visited upon us this past four years?

I guess, if you are a (pick your evil here - racist, bigot, bully, hedonist, etc.) and you have a man in office whose policies support your particular evil, you're going to vote for him.

Let's hope we outnumber the cretins.

1. I truly think most of them are simply misinformed
So many people who support pretzelman, when you really talk to them, disagree with most of what he has done (as opposed to what he claims to have done)

4. Not the ones I deal with...
they are blind, deaf, bigoted and truly believe the 'b' word is a wonderful leader. It makes me sick, mad and sad all at once. The worst thing is, they have kids that will grow up to be just like them. Yikes!

2. Yes the country is blind, lets reduce the ignorance a little.
This country almost went down the shithole because of the ignorance level, I always thought it was bad for our children but I never thought ignorance in in America could spell our end. Defeat ignorance, vote Kerry!

11. Ignorance has always been an impediment to progress.
And ignorant people are easily led by crazy talk show hosts, evangelical preachers, con men of all types.

When I saw the US educational system being dumbed down in the 1960's and 1970's, I was very afraid, and what I feared has come true - the crooked politician's dream, an ignorant, unquestioning, conforming population, many of whom will be too apathetic to vote at all, and the rest of whom will be easily swayed and led by propaganda.

During all the fighting to bring America back to the great country that it can be, a fight must begin for education - to teach people how to think for themselves. That way they will come to their own conclusions, rather than lapping up the pre-digested pap that is shovelled down their throats by a cynical and privately owned mass media.

Education is the weapon of progress, and education is not just teaching kids to pass standardized tests. True education includes teaching people to think critically, to research and to strive to learn more about the world around them.

While taking America back, Americans need to demand real education again, not feelgood sessions and making learning "fun". To think that most people in the US will be voting based on what they see on television is terrifying. If something doesn't change, and soon, America will become the land of the marching morons.
