1. No Way!!!
I feel like I did during Big Dawg's first run--As Ann Richards said about Bush pere, "stick a fork in him, he's done!"

2. I think a lot of people are apprehensive, not necessarily pessimistic.
Apprehension would be understandable, though, considering what happened in 2000. Many of the problems then are still with us today.

That being said, I personally think Kerry will win big enough to make most of the problems irrelevant.

3. Nope, the worst I've seen is cautious optimism.

4. Here's one.
The polls are looking up, as a whole, but I am extremely concerned with the many reports of voting difficulties - and it's not even Tuesday.

5. I'm cautiously optimistic
I do think Kerry will win, but I'm afraid of the dirty tricks that might be sprung.

9. "Cautiously optimistic" describes me quite well, thank you.
My husband almost can't believe K/E stands a chance, but he's the pessimist in the family. He was one of those people who almost hoped Bush would win so he has already screwed things up too badly for Kerry to fix.

10. i am, to an extent
i know that the momentum and new registrations are on our side, but i think BBV is going to give bush a sudden last minute swing and give him his magical 'dewey defeats truman"-esque landslide

this is a stacked question.

Kanary, wondering if we'll ever mature to the point of letting people just be who they are.......

16. I'm not pessimistic
I am anxious, tired, angry, all those feelings that are lousy. I need to get some sleep, stay away from voters and television and stop eating ice cream.

I have that post election traumatic stress disorder.

One more day and night, I hope. I am in Florida and IF, the big IF happens (recount, challenges) I think I will just go to the islands for a month.

17. About the number of votes, no
I think Kerry's got them.

About the vote-stealing shitstorm that follows the election, the litigation, charges and countercharges, I'm not so sanguine.
