1. mine too!
my five year old especially. guess the halloween spirit got to a lot of us.

also my eleven year old, his class is holding mock elections, so Im looking forward to any stories he has to say. Hes the type that loves to stand out amongst the crowd, and has already told me his teacher has spun for bush..(this is, barf, bush country) He told me Friday he was undecided:D so of COURSE I had to influence him. Its my job, and I sent him with a few talking points and patiently await the outcome..not of the election at his school, but of his antics..

4. I've had to school my boys on the right to have an opposing ...
opinion. I live in S.W. Minneapolis and the community is overwhelmingly Kerry. There are a few Children at school who have been parroting their Bush supporting parents. I told my boys that everyone can think what they like and shouldn't be teased or ridiculed for it. It probably went in one ear and out the other but a parent has to try.

Bush is scary.

2. Well...

I'm in High School in AR, home of Tyson Foods and Wal-Mart, so we know where a lot of people lean...

Kerry lost the mock election 51%-39%, but for the main reason that all the redneck hicks believe the Repub's bullshit that if Kerry wins, and this is the exact quote I overheard, "Kerry will take all the guns away".

Nevermind the fact that it would require a constitutional amendment approved by 2/3rds of the House AND Senate, and 3/4ths of the states, AND the President has NO VOTES WHATSOEVER...

It's too bad the rednecks love firearms over everything else.
