Issues to push when Kerry is President...
While I, like many others, are busy with convincing others, no matter how small (Like converting all my sister's friends, most are 18-20 year old, with the Mosh video of course :)), we must also start planning for the aftermath. While this may sound overconfident, tommorrow I will be confident that I am going to vote for a winner, but more than that, a winner who can make a real difference in our government and our lives.

We cannot rest when the White House is retaken by the people, we have real issues and problems to overcome that our truly elected officials need to take a long hard look at to see through to solutions. As was demonstrated by John Edward's lovely wife, this board is visited by some prominent people, so lets see if we can make ourselves the unnofficial advisers to President Kerry himself. By the way, this may sound conceited, but so what, if good ideas can be sprung here or elsewhere, why not see if they make a difference?

Basically my purpose for starting this thread is to see it kicked all the way past the election, and for far thereafter. To bring all the ideas of everyone on this wonderfull board and then, in January, to bring the best of the best to the President of the United States. Let's bring all our issues and problems to his doorstep, not for him to solve on his own, but to influence others, hopefully in a Democratic Congress, to affect postitive change, in the world.

From Racial issues, to issues on employment and health care, lets see how powerful the voice of the American People have. Lets see what the geniuses (yes that is self serving ;)) at DU can come up with, so maybe we can have a concise and excellent discussion on issues that matter to us all.
