DIXVILLE NOTCH results--A TIE!!!! (EDIT-Hart's Location) |
|
Edited on Tue Nov-02-04 12:49 AM by MADem
15 Bush 15 Kerry 1 Nader
Considering there are only 2 Democrats in that town, that's actually GOOD news!
***ON EDIT**** The above results are for HART's LOCATION, which is another one of those NH hamlets that votes right after midnight. In 2000, they voted 17 Bush, 13 Gore. So Bush LOST some support there.
It's all GOOD!

11. I thought Bush got 21 votes to Gore's 5, with Nader 1 |
|
Guess the Nader voter has not changed his mind...a GREEN ideologue, who woulda figured?
But this is INCREDIBLE news. The oddballs up that way are conservative as a bunch, slow to accept change, and cautious. The fact that so many people are willing to swap their allegiances tells me that weecowboy is in some serious trouble. Not all conservatives are stupid, or jerks. They may be mistaken, but they aren't ALL assholes.
As the tide turns, we have to probably work real hard not to do unto them as they did unto us--because we are BETTER than they are. Conservative is going to turn into the same kind of mean word that those assholes on the far right did with the meaning of liberal. The temptation is going to be strong to pile on, I'm going to have to continually appeal to my better self to not join in!

17. Nader received 3% of the vote. |
|
Edited on Tue Nov-02-04 12:46 AM by Buck Rabbit
The nader voter used his vote to not break the tie and determine the outright winner of Dixville Notch thereby maintaining his idealogical purity.
Leaving it to those not so pure in thought determine the coarse of the Nation and the World.

http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/news/special_packages/election2004/10072555.htm?1cHours before voters in most of the nation's precincts are even thinking of getting out of bed, Dixville Notch's voting-age population of 11 Republicans, two Democrats and 13 independents lines up at the Balsams resort, where a special room is permanently set aside for elections.

13. MSNBC JUST CHANGED THE RESULTS!!! |
|
Now they say BUSH 19, Kerry 7.
They just said that the other results were from another dinky NH town called HART's something-or-other.
Well, if those more recent results are correct (were the bastards using VOTER NEWS SERVICE, per chance???) that means two voters switched from R to D this election.
STILL GOOD NEWS!

21. They vote in the banquet hall |
|
...of the dinky little resort up there. It usually results in a few bookings.
However, it looks like Kerry is off to a good start. He has lost support in both of these conservative, RURAL towns. The GOP have been saying that the RURAL voter is the backbone of weecowboy's support. We KNOW we have the urban areas, we KNOW we have the upper hand with a number of demographics, if we can JUST pick around the margins of the rural voter, we've GOT IT.
Off to the races!

...it was 19-7 Bush. Still, given that it was 21-5 Bush last time (with one Nader voter, none this time) that's a pickup.

I am now on the MA border watching NH ABC TV outlet. They fucked up. I switched to MSNBC, they fucked it up too. Then everybody corrected without too much comment.
I understand those assholes at Voter News Service have reconstituted themselves. Same outfit, different name. Kinda like VALUE JET...still unsafe at any speed! Wonder if they did the exit polling!!!
