If so, I'd like to congratulate you and hope you enjoy the feeling even HALF as much as I do. I'm a liberal in a conservative state and my candidate usually loses, but AT LEAST I GET TO VOTE. That, somehow, makes me feel better.

Hope you first time voters get the same thrill I do! Its a kick!

4. Happy belated, realisticphish!

Do you pretty much know what to expect when you walk in to vote? Type of machine, obscure referendums, etc?

I think that's often the most intimidating for new voters, and I tried to suggest to people who are doing the GOTV thing to talk to new voters about those things, but....... it sunk like a rock......

Have a good day..... you'll have lots of good memories from this!

6. Absentee is fine...and sometimes necessary...But, I get a HUGE charge
out of walking into my precinct, getting a paper ballot, and filling it out. That way, they can't screw you.

Congratulation and hope you get to vote in MANY MANY more!

9. I voted for the first time
I was too young in 2000, and too apathetic in 2002, but the veil of ignorance has been lifted

First Timer.

Kerry.

I got about 8 others friends to vote for Kerry and were also First Timers. (i don't have many friends :) )

AZ is said to go to Bush Jr, but we are making a huge splash here. HUGE.

13. I Know 2............

Two of my friends plan to vote today for the 1st time ever, one is 39 years old, and the other is 40 years old. They both registered to vote because of Bush, and they both plan to proudly vote for Kerry.

14. My husband is 64 and this election moved him off his apathetic butt
to go vote for Kerry. He said he felt so great about it.
