Chris Matthews on Imus (MSNBC) |
|
said that people from 18 to 29 will decide the election: if they get out to vote, Kerry wins; if they don't vote, Bush wins.

1. Chris Matthews = Captain Obvious |

But he is correct. We are definately relying on the turnout. Less voters is always a good thing for reThuglicans

2. Bout time for Tweety to say he really liked Kerry all along isn't it?? |
|
Edited on Tue Nov-02-04 07:45 AM by OneTwentyoFive
That puff ball swings around like a windmill. When Kerry wins Tweety will be gushing all over him like he was supportive all along. Tweety is so predictable it's laughable...

3. Hmmm, Tweety forgot all those pissed off senior citizens... |
|
...you know, the ones really pissed at that 17% increase in Medicare premiums, and the ones REALLY pissed at those so-called discount cards.

MM said the same thing. Attendance was outstanding, mainly college students. Very fired up.
We are not alone folks...

9. I have a conservative brother on the west coast .... |
|
and he had voted for Nader in 2000. As a true conservative, he finds Bush extremely offensive, and would not have supported him under any circumstance. But when he was out here in September to visit his daughter at Syracuse University, he went with her to listen to Michael Moore. It opened his eyes. And it wasn't just Moore .... it was all of the young adults, with their positive energy and their love of life.
Sometimes I feel bad about the world that my generation is handing down to the younger generation. We tried. Maybe we did our best. But I become very positive about the future when I see this younger generation in action. I believe that they will decide the election. I think they will make America live up to its potential.

5. College Student here. Our entire county office and GOTV operation |

is run by people under 30 just about. (I would be remiss not to mention all the great volunteers who are not under 30 also!)

Yeah,he supports Kerry but really doesn't like him,he makes that crystal clear daily. A month or so back he went off on how people think Cheney is pure evil when really Al Gore is as evil as it gets.
And...that was the last time I listened to that fool. Besides,I can't gut that drunken drawl type of talking he does. Sounds like he's loaded at 7 AM.

11. Tweety won't commit to a winner |
|
Seems like he wants to hedge so he can suck up to the winner.
He should pick Kerry now.
My son's unofficial Wicsonsin poll: Kerry by 8-10 points! He's part of a GOTV effort, and his office has contacted more than 50,000 newly registered voters in six states. They are following up to make sure addresses, etc are correct and that they know where to go to vote.
I think turn out will be huge and that people will get to the polls. I only hope the voter repression efforts don't make the lines so long that people decide not to wait.
Won't it be a huge relief to have this regime gone from power?

12. Christie Brinkley just kicked Cheney's ass |
|
on Imus .... she was answering some ridiculous shit by Bo Diddle, the retired cop who thinks he's cute when he uses "baby talk" or tries to copy the Mugs McGinnis character from the Bowery Boys ... a real jackass .... he said the country would be more vulnerable to attack if Kerry is elected .... she nailed Bush/Cheney for allowing 380 tons of explosives being stolen, and pointed out that type of thing doesn't make us safer. She also said Cheney wants to make his own daughter a 2nd class citizen, and that the administration wants to re-write the constitution. Sounded like a DUer!!!!
