Could this be the end of a Repub. presidency for a LONG time?
My thinking is that this election got so many dems off their butts to go vote, it might actually become a habit.

1. That is probably quite accurate
but first, we have to win this one.

4. It would be nice, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.
After the debacle of Nixon and that idiot Ford, Carter was a one termer, followed by 12 years of more Repuke hell.

Americans seem to have a memory half life of 1 season of Survivor.

5. The R's will regroup
Immediately after Nixon resigned in disgrace, a number of pundits predicted the Rep. Party was doomed to be a weak, regional party. In little more than 6 years, Reagan was elected

6. unfortunately .... no.

...remember how we felt in 2000 and how we came roaring back to (I hope) victory? They'll try the same thing. We need to fight just as hard in 2008!!!

7. I don't think so
* has been one of the worst presidents in history. Let's face it. He is a mass murderer, a purveyor of unprovoked aggression in the most naked and illegal way since Hitler rolled into Poland.

But mass murder plays well in the old Confederacy, including Texas. These states' populations are growing.

The only way to guarantee a *-style murderer could never be elected again would be to split the country in two.

9. Nope the zombies will be back in '08
but I'm expecting they may try a moderate Repug.

Plus Kerry has so much Bushshit to clean up you know he's going to get blamed for the crap * left behind.

Funny how everything will be either Clinton's or Kerry's fault according to the Freeptards and their pundits.

10. Wait until the full impact of what happened and is happening
in Iraq is felt and the blame is placed where it should be. It is going to reverberate for years. The biggest foreign policy disaster in the country's history and it lies squarely in the Repugs laps.

And we are not out of Iraq yet.

11. We thought that about Nixon
People got complacent. Then, BOOM!, Reaganomics and trickle-down (getting pissed on) economy. :)

I hope you're right, but there's a hell of a lot more work to do, and we're the ones who have to do it.

12. The worst qualities of Harding, Hoover, and
Nixon combined into one man would make for a better prez than Boy George. He will go down in history as the worst of the worst!

13. I love comparing the left and right
They both say the same things about the other side.

I look for Rudy G. to run in 08 for the republicans. Although I think a Bush win tonight is necessary because he will need a post in the next administration to have enough experience to run. He will be hard to beat in my opinion. Although he may make some on the right stay home since he is pro-choice. He has his faults as does any candidate from either side. But I think he will be the candidate since most of Americas has warm fuzzies for him after 9-11.

14. I dunno, but it better be the end of the Bush "dynasty"
All you young people, never forget and teach your children about the Bush family evil empire. Do not let another Bush within a hundred feet of anything to do with our government. Smear them any way you can whenever you can.

The Walker estate/compound in Kennebunkport is falling into the ocean as we speak.

16. My great hope is that if the chimp crashes and burns
if nothing else a much more moderate wing of the repubs will take over
(not that I would vote for them either.)
