7. I was just in Virginia

I was just in Northern Virginia and saw Kerry signs everywhere. Maybe it's all these yuppies working for AOL or something, combined with what seems to be lots of recent Latino immigrants working service jobs. Southern Virginia is heavily African-American. But from the signs I saw, Kerry support is high. Also, for some reason, I think a lot of conservatives in Northern Virginia don't like Bush. Not sure why.

Voter turnout was incredible today and the poll workers were telling me that the youth vote really came out in force today. Gawd, I hope I don't eat these words, but I'm feeling more hopeful than ever that we'll go for Kerry tonight!!
