Can we secede? Now.
I don't want to live or raise my daughter in this place.

1. Maybe the US should have let the CSA secede in the first place.
Southern liberals, move north. You'll get used to the cold. Let the fundies and freepers have the south. Too bad -- Abe Lincoln would be disappointed.

2. We're smarter than them and they'd be glad to see us go!
Hey, maybe we can persuade the South to reinstitute slavery! Then the North can secceed! It would be fucking awesome!

4. The Blue states should secede, and join Canada.
The Blue states should secede, and join Canada.

That way, we can have universal health care and marijuana.

And the Red states should be happy to be rid of us "commie liberals".

5. I'm all for this.
I wish Canada was willing to take Americans, as long as they were lefties.

6. You know, I was pretty depressed this morning....
then, my 5 year old son came downstairs and crawled up in my lap. As I hugged him, I just started to cry. I don't want him to grow up in this place.

I was born in Canada, so we have options, and right now, we are seriously considering them.

7. The Republic of California has a nice ring to it
We wouldn't even need to change the flag. Just add Oregon, and Washington state and kick out an Austrian.

11. I have been feeling the same way.
I've said it several times since about 2 this morning...Maybe it's time to disolve the union...I don't want to live in a "Christian Nation" where my beliefs are neither aappreciated not tolerated...I thought "they" were a vocal activist minority, but last night shows me that there are more of them than there are of "us"...I live in Missouri and we now have a 33 yr old fundie governor and radically empowered republicans in charge of our state house and state senate...I feel hopeless and lost:cry:
