My suggestion - don't let the young get discouraged |
|
We got lots of young people to vote across this country. In my neck of the woods it seemed like the large majority of them voted for Kerry. Right now, many of them probably feel like "what was the point"? We CANNOT let them lose faith in the electoral process just as they begin to get engaged in it. And the rest of us must lead by example by continuing to fight to get our country back, and never giving up the struggle. And those young people reading this, you MUST organize, and stay informed, and continue to care about what is happening. DO NOT become apathetic again because Bush succeeded in pandering to our least common denominators of fear, false patriotism, and anti-intellectualism.

to work today because she (age 22) feels democracy died. She is very bitter.
The younger one is pissed too, she said there was outright voter fraud on Pitt campus with people claiming to have registered students and then they "lost their registrations..."
How do we keep them from being disillusioned if we can't hide it ourselves? Harumpf.
Maybe get them to join DFA. THANKS HOWARD DEAN!!
