That is how many votes John Kerry got (so far) it will probably be, when all is in and counted very close to 60 million votes. He won 48% of the popular vote. That is not a mandate for George W. Bush. We have alot of people outside of DU who stand with us and are as shocked and disappointed by the results of this election. Bush also will at most win no more than 284 electoral votes. This is the narrowest victory a president running for a second term has ever won since 1916.

Bush has no mandate and we must continue to oppose him and hopefully our representatives in congress will do the same.

2. Thanks for the blurb.
I keep having to remember that 56M people agreed with me. They can't keep FBI files on 56M of us. We need to keep our fledging network going, supporting Air America and the other progressive radio hosts, our blogs, DU, and our news sites.

Peace,

Dawn

4. Continue to oppose him?
Absolutely. Our reps? I don't know. I do know when Bush* says he is reaching across the aisle for bipartisanship it means he is going to grab them by the short hairs and with a nice little threat give them the with us or against us crap and call that reaching out. Nope, Bush*. I will NEVER support you.

5. I think 99% of the world
is shocked and disappointed and amazed(!!!) that people could have voted for the one who is (indirectly) responsible for the death of thousands of innocent Iraqis and the destruction of Iraq, the country that did not attack America, and had no WMD.
