those of you interested in AAR or other progressive media
remember that Rush Limbaugh made his bones when the repukes were out of power

by being an outrageous mouthpiece for a true opposition party

(Reagan was Pres, but Dems had strong control of Congress, the Judiciary and the national agenda)

1. Perhaps a letter to George Soros?
I wrote a nice letter to George Soros via the contact page at georgesoros.com thanking him for his financial backing in this election and telling him that in my opinion, what we really missed on was media. I asked if there was any way he could help get airwaves up that have more progressive content.

Figured it can't hurt.

4. You're right
I try to look at things in the best possible ways:

1. When all hell breaks loose (which it might,) only the Republicans will be the ones to blame.

2. AAR will make its Limbaugh-like rise in the next years of terror.

3. 2004 for the Democrats is like 1996 for the Republicans, only in 1996, things were pretty damn good.

4. Barak Obama might just be the new Tom Daschle, but with more gusto.

5. There still is DU. Along with FR.

6. There are 288 new FM licenses coming up for auction , mostly in
the South, West, and Midwest. Now, why don't some people with deep pockets buy some up and help us counter RW radio? They won't, of course, and we'll miss another opportunity.

8. we don't have the mega wealthy fascists
like Coors et al, who funded the right wing's conversion to the neocons

what about Soros? what about a collectivist effort through an organization like MoveOn?
