This might make you laugh.
It sure made me feel good...

This AM as I was finding solace on DU and balling my eyes out, I got a phone call from a telecom company, a sub of DirecTV, confirming our service order for tomorrow. A few words with the woman made me realize that the order was screwed up and I needed to talk to someone else. Well as she put me on hold I just about exploded when who do I hear bloviating away but Limpballs himself. Oh man I about freaked.

Some poor tech guy came on the line and I let him have it with both barrels. I was so furious. I told him I was outraged that a customer would be subjected to the ravings of that pompous windbag. We discussed the work order and I reminded him to relay my complaint. I told him he had made me want to VOMIT!!!

I hung up the phone and got madder and madder. I decided to call DirecTV and cancel the order. And I told them why. I know from past experience that these people are incompetent as well, so fortunately it wasn't a tough decision. But this Rush thing sealed it for me. Then I called the sub company back and made sure they knew why I was cancelling.

Shortly thereafter the manager (a jerk) called me back. He didn't know I had cancelled, so they must have just told him about the Rush comment. I told him I had cancelled, number one because you are incompetent and number two.... he hung up.

Man did that feel good. Gee, do you think I over reacted a little?

1. Isn't DirecTV part of Rupert Murdoch's kingdom?
Get DishNetwork! They TOTALLY rock, and Charlie Ergen is an awesome Democrat.

4. Good Job
Hi JSK.

I completely understand how you feel. Great job on fighting back with DirectTV. I know at moments like this it is tempting to give in to despair, but we will live to fight another day.

Bless you.

Sagar

5. I hate cable/satellite companies
I've only had to call my cable company once and that call ended up with me hanging up the phone in rage... Rush Limbaugh wasn't even involved. So many of the workers manning the phones are very clueless.

7. Yesterday morning a Republican called our Democratic HQ
to complain that there were Democratic signs across the street from a polling place in a park. I explained the law says the signs must be 300 feet from a polling place, and she continued with her outrage. So I told her that if the signs were still up it meant that the Republicans hadn't stolen them yet and she only needed to wait another 10 minutes and they would be stolen like all the rest of the Democratic signs in town. She said she was going to call the Bd. of Elections on me. I told her to be my guest.

At the end of the day I called Republican HQ and gave the addresses of the few sign locations that they had missed stealing.
