1. It will be okay
Grieve. We have much to grieve about. Allow yourself to cry and be angry.

We have to get over the grief and move on to the next phase - kicking ass and taking names. :) I can't even put an exclamation point there because I am so sad.

2. I was riding my scooter home from school...
and as I reached the top of my hill, I saw a large thunderstorm coming down the SF bay (very rare in CA.) Hail started to fall, lighting cracked, wind howled. The sun was slowly blotted out, I turned on my radio and heard the words "Well, Bush is our incumbent president..." and a hail stone hit me square on the nose. The world seemed to be coming to an ultimate end.

3. I was so upset this morning
Until I realized that they probably did us a huge favor. Think about it, considering the totally messed up state we're in, how much could you expect would be accomplished by a new administration with no co-operation from any other branch of the government. Also, when the shit hits the fan, bush is going to fall alone - he'll have not one democrat to blame for this mess. Then we'll be waiting.

5. thats true. JK probably would have just spent 4 year fight the repukes in
congress, not been able to get anything accomplished and then been blamed for it.

6. You cry all you want, god damn it!
You have good reason to. I'm a 59 year old USMC Viet vet that cried plenty this AM...... But then remember the song: "Don't Stop Thinkin' About Tomorrow"

9. I cried from my soul today. I was devastated.
I have never felt more united to the minority groups in the U.S. ever. The disappointment I feel towards my fellow (Republican) Americans is immeasurable.

My dad told me that in the 60's he would hear the stories coming out of the south and would feel ashamed that he was white.

Today I felt ashamed to be an American.

The shock gave way to heartbrake which is now giving way to anger.
