The Difficulty of Kindness (a poem)
The Difficulty of Kindness

There is a happy land, far, far away,
Where little rabbits run, three times a day.
Oh! how they squeal and run,
When they hear the monkey come,
Three lashes to their bums, three times a day.

There is a happy land, far, far away,
Where the monkey sits, through the pretty day.
But then the little rabbits come,
To get revenge for what he's done.
Happy one and happy all, far, far, away.

1. *applause*
there's so much bad karma released now, it's downright frightening

WAY more than any one person could possibly threaten...

3. Thanks, MsMagnificent! Kudos goes to the artist.
The words helped me understand what my world has experienced for more than four decades. The Bush Organized Crime Family will not give up power easily. Well, they don't know what they are up against. The American people and our friends around the world won't ever give up. The NAZIs will lose.

4. Thanks, ExclamationPoint! I'll let the artist know...
... I didn't write it, but I will get word to the person who did.

BTW: A hearty welcome to DU! Would that the circumstances were different, but the future is ours. As Shelley wrote: "The poet is the unrecognized legislator of the universe."
