I'm so sad you won't be our president and vice president, but I want to thank you for running a positive campaign and for fighting for us!

As I sit here in my Kerry/Edwards t-shirt, preparing to do battle in freeperland, I say thank you.
Thank you for waking me up to the world of politics and current events. And I plan to stay awake. I'm watching you, Bush/Cheney. We all are.
Thank you, John Kerry, for being such an honest, lion-hearted, good man. I'm glad I was introduced to you, and I plan to watch what you do from now on. The rest of the country will soon see that you were right all along, and beat their chests that they weren't smart enough to elect you.
I am proud to call myself a Kerry democrat.

I believe in you. I will always believe in you. You fought against a great menace to the nation, a cabal that would do anything to stay in power. You fought this cabal and kept your honor, your dignity, your commitment to the truth--and proved yourselves to be better men than your enemies. You inspired us to esteem you, love you, trust you with our votes, and nothing can ever take that away.
Our hearts may be broken, but not our spirits. That cannot be. You would not want it. I feel that your country has failed you, and that saddens me. So to make it up, I would do almost anything if it would make you happy. It'll be hard to keep our spirits from breaking--but we must.
I still cling to one faint hope, since not all of the vote is counted and you have expressed the intent to see it done. America does not deserve a miracle, but none of us do and miracles still happen. But if this hope, as I fear, is in vain... You will still have your day. I believe that with all my soul. America will regret this and you, Sens. Kerry and Edwards, will be seen as visionaries and given your rightful place.

8. Thanks to both of the Johns, |
|
to their families, and their campaigns.
A year ago, it was supposedly going to be Bush in a landslide.
K/E and their fellow Democrats made this close as hell, even without the uncounted, deleted, and discarded votes.
Thanks for the memories. I'll always be proud to say that I'm a K/E supporter.
Special note for Kerry: You and Ted Kennedy stick together, become the pains in the asses for this administration.

13. Yes. Thanks for this thread; they're truly good and decent men |
|
and they're tough as hell.
Unfortunately, the right is very good, and faith-based hatred is shockingly strong.

When I was a lad, I dated a young lass for a brief time, who was also seeing a rather weaselly acquaintance of mine. Ultimately she chose the weaselly acquaintance.
Some time after that, I was out at a party or some other social engagement with the friend and roommate of the young lass. She told me that she personally thought the young lass had chosen poorly.
America has chosen the weasels. Sadly it is a reflection on her and not on you.
