Some good news from Minnesota |
|
In addition to going BLUE last night, 13 new Democrats were elected to the Minnesota State House, not quite changing the balance of power but if one more seat had swung (and there is one recount) the House would have been tied. A tremendous sweep of open seats and ousting of some big name (in the state) republicans.

He's been so far out front in defending Chimp-bastard's shit. I'm confident Minnesotans will remember that come his turn.
Well done in the state house!

5. We will campaign hard against Norm! |
|
And T-Paw. I feel more energized today than I ever have. We are not defeated!! * may have won...an election. But his supporters, and especially those who voted for him have lost. It's a little easier for my wife and I to swallow because it feels like we helped MN go blue. We did everything we could to spread the message. I know of a handlul of people who slowly but surely changed their vote from * to Kerry (at least that's what they told me)because every day I tried to bring up some new info about him that showed his true colors. I expected some gloating from the other side, but it's funny they were not celebrating very hard. Perhaps they know this election is tarnished, and after the smoke clears, all that's left is * to blame for all the problems related to his administration that remain. Some at work drifted into my department, as if relishing in my sadness was all they had to celebrate. Sad inside, I put on a positive face knowing that as things inevitably go wrong, and * blames everyone around him (continuing the sheer madness of it all), I can sleep at night. DFL-ers can sleep too, knowing they fought the good fight and won in Minnesota, trying to make things better in America. I'm very proud of them, and proud to call myself a Minnesota Democrat!

6. I mentioned it in the Minnesota forum |
|
it used to be said (maybe it still is) that Minnesota was always 2 years behind when it comes to fashion and 2 years AHEAD when it comes to politics. We can only hope it's still true.
