Please everyone don't flame me on this right away, let it digest a bit first. Then you can hit me.
For the record, I think romancing the gun owners into our camp would have a strong impact toward winning in 2008. Kerry being graded an F by the NRA was death at the polls to most firearm advocates. There are huge numbers of people that are not religious zealots, have weak thoughts about abortion and radical ideas about their firearms.
I think Kerry carrying a gun while out hunting ducks was too little too late. I know what he said in favor of firearms to try to assuage the damage done by the NRA. Fact remains if you poll their members today most will no doubt tell you they voted for * because they have a right to bear arms.
We will win again keep the faith. This is a setback but far from the end of the road.
