It is a remarkably good focus exercise and the expression is suprisingly potent.

My female clients are always pleasantly suprised at how good it *feels* when the knife 'THUKS' into the target.

It's a wonderful release - I highly recommend it so long as all safety considerations are met.

because speaking the truth is the first step to solving the problem.

It was all that lets have a hug and try harder next time junk that was making me feel like crap.

It's time to stop thinking like we're participants in a democracy. It's time to think that we're a resistance movement, and act accordingly.

To my eyes there are two things we need to do, NOW:

Put the numbers out and let people know the election was stolen, ASAP! Don't rely on the media or the internet to get the message out (though don't neglect it, either). Print up flyers and post them, everywhere. We need to establish that our side is the side that has legitimacy with the many disappointed voters who are with us, and who don't know what went wrong.

Make international contacts (persons, organizations, news media), let them know this was a fix, and encourage the world to start turning the financial screws on the American government. Without money, George won't have any army men to play with.

And on a medium-term level, organize locally to force the use of paper ballots. That doesn't mean politely running for elections supervisor in rigged voting. It means, if you can't do it any other way, getting in those peoples faces, dominating public discourse, leveraging everything we've got on them and playing for keeps, no holds barred, until they capitulate.

I'd give suggestions on how to play for keeps (I've got ideas), but here isn't where to play one's hand. Just understand that I learned politics, as a College Republican, from the work of Lee Atwater, and its time to think like a ninja. Any one of you can think these schemes up. You haven't been scheming, and I haven't been scheming lately, because we respect democracy, and if this was a democracy, we shouldn't act that way. But we're not operating within a democracy
right now.

Thank you, Mike Malloy, and thank you, Randi Rhodes, for speaking the truth. There's nowhere to run to, no normal to return to, no time for reassurance. There is no comfort zone. There's only a time to fight for our constitution.

56. National Voting Standards

How about some uniform national voting standards that require a paper ballot-based count?

Writing the record of the vote on disk/smart-card alone is too susceptible to fraud. Let each voting machine print a ballot with a stub that's filled out perfectly, and that is human-readable.

The existing ballots are treated identically to the paper ballots we know and love. The printed stub that each voter retains contains a code that is unique each voter. (it's based on your identity, plus the checksum of your voting results)

It can be used to determine if your vote was included in a certain
certified result, using some publicly available website.

There's no question about what to do.

But we have no power to do it at a national level. We've got to work locally and stop thinking that we're working through the system. There's no system to work through anymore -- just pressure and power.

Do it now, not two years from now or four years from now or six months from now. Make a plan and start to execute it while everyone is still fired up, or we will lose the people power we need to do it.

I mean it. Mike means it. This is the real thing. Time to get off one's bottoms and act, before we lose everything.

I'm setting uo a website for people who want to plan and act, not talk or think or blame or wait. Anyone serious and determined is invited to make use of it when I get it up in a few days. I'll post the url in the Malloy topic and anywhere else where it is topical.

I'd block things more closely related to elections, like town/county/whatever offices, and I'd use arrest-provoking techniques sparingly. Arrests can sap the strength of a group unless they're done right.

I'd send so many people into City Council or County Commissioner meetings it will be hard for them to do business even if the crowd does not protest.

And, on a ninja level. I'd play very dirty pool with the people immediately responsible for the machines. Family members and friends of the guilty are fair game, too. Make it too personally uncomfortable for them to continue to support the machines, more uncomfortable than defying their masters would be. Then pick those machines off, one municipality at a time.
