What's the medical term for the sour feeling in our stomachs right now? |
|
Seems like many of us on DU have it. I know it's due to anxiety, but what's actually happening in my gut? Is it just excess acid?

4. It's what 4 years of the Bush diet will do to you. |
|
Stress causes increased gastric acidity, heartburn, reflux. This sucks because another 4 years is more than my stomach can take.

12. Some of us have had him for ten years... |
|
including his governorship starting in '94. When he's done (unless we can get him impeached), I'll have spent more time with him than I did to getting through elementary, grade school, junior high, high school, and first two years of college. Sucks.
Maybe that's why so many vote here for him. Name recognition and familiarity.

that can cause indigestion and diarrhea. Also common is poor circulation(cold hands/feet)and is in itself nothing to worry about, but if it persists see a psychiatrist as prolonged stress can do permanent damage.

9. The stomach is always right |
|
It's true, the stomach is always right. If it says no you problably wont' go against it and eat, and if it says yes, you might take a chance. But, if you listen to it the stomach is always a good indicator of your state of health. I think so.

I feel that damn knife twisting in my stomach again, after 3 weeks without it. I've had this for 4 years, and it was really bad during the run up to the Iraq war and 'shock and awe'. It's pain in the deepest recesses of your soul.
It's knowing that nothing and no one who is truly good lasts on this planet for very long. Someone will cut them down in front of a crowd.
It's knowing there is no justice in the universe, unless WE make it so. No god. No higher beings. It's all up to us.
It's knowing that blowing the limbs off of thousands of little children is rewarded on this planet with 4 more years of power.
It's knowing that a man can murder 6 million Jews or 20 million of his own people, and justice is a humane bullet in the head, or a peaceful death and state funeral.
Okay, I will stop now. Sheesh!
