I went to the NYT website article, and one of the first articles to appear was by some whore saying that the election proves the country is now center-right. I couldn't bring myself to read the whole article.

3. Frankly, everyone seems very subdued today. I don't know if they
are just tired from last night or if they are all depressed too.

No one seems exited, at least no one I've seen. I'm in no mood to submit myself to Faux or any of that crap.

David Gergen on Larry King talked about how there is a very large group of people in the country right now that are despondent. He said he had a friend who told him he feels like an expatriate in his own country. I can understand that feeling.

4. Maybe they're finally starting to feel guilty for being such GOP whores?
And they're now thinking "OMG, what have we done? Another 4 years??"

On second thought, they're probably not thinking that. I give them too much credit.

6. I completely agree
Whatever we think about the media, they do tend to be smarter than the Average Joe. Something tells me their native intelligence is having a difficult time reconciling Bush's win with his record. The fact that he has botched everything he's touched, and that he was put over the hump by "Christians" who cared only about narrow culture war issues is disturbing to many Americans.Their demeanor shows that they are not immune.
