So who do we have on deck (looking toward 2008)
I'm ready to start thinking about '08. Who do we have that could win both the nomination and the election.

Here's a few names that come to mind:

Gov. Mark Warner(D-Virginia): I don't really know much about him other than his name popped up today. A governor from a quasi-southern state might not be a bad thing. It certainly sounds familiar.

Sen. Barack Obama: My dream candidate. He will be a fighter for us. Seeing him up on stage last night was the only time I smiled and felt good. He is the chosen one.
But he will be too young and too inexperienced. And I'm not sure this country has evolved enough to elect a minority president.

Sen. Hillary Clinton: I just don't see it. I like her, but see above only insert the word woman.

Sen. Mark Pryor (D-Ark.): Someone I find him a little intriguing. He's popular, southern and.....apparently pretty conservative. I checked on his rating on some issues and he qualifies as pro-life by some of the christian-repug voters guides. That will make it next to impossible for him to win the nomination, but I could see how he might make a solid GE candidate.

Sen. Mark Dayton (D-Minn): Dont know much about him but from what I've seen, I like him.

3. Uhhhh I just got a good look at 2004
And it's in the rear view mirror, mercifully. You mean 2006 midterms?

2. HILLARY/OBAMA!!!
My God can you imagine? Hillary would get 50% with women alone, and Obama pulled in THOUSANDS of repubs in Illinois. He is popular with everyone. That is a dream ticket I think.

4. I hope Kerry will consider running again in '08
I have a positive feeling about Hillary and I'd like to see her run, but we need the absolute strongest candidate we can muster to be sure we take the presidency. Not going to be her.

Don't forget, we first have to mobilize for '06 and get back some house seats.

5. Doesn't matter who runs in '08. As long as we still have computerized...
...voting machines with no paper trail, the Republicans will continue to steal elections, just like they did on Tuesday.
