she and her husband were with his grandma, who also voted for Kerry, watching the returns. It was early evening when we talked and we thought Kerry would win.

"letting God decide the size of their families?" They have child after child, use absolutely no birth control. Some of them have twenty kids. They isolate them through homeschooling and other methods, and raise them up to be more of the same.

Their numbers are increasing very quickly, and even if some of the kids rebel and leave the fold, plenty more to stay. The girls are encouraged to get married very early, and often their husband is picked for them by Daddy and they undergo "godly courtship" where they don't even touch each other until the wedding night. And of course, no birth control, so she can start popping out more little fundie babies right away.

When I was a kid, this kind of thing was an aberration, but it is becoming so incredibly widespread now that it's really scary. These people are all over the Internet too, spreading the word.

And as we know, the Internet is a very powerful tool for getting the word out there ...
