Maybe not in 2006, but definitely soon, when thousands of Americans have died in Iraq, the economy is stagnant, abortion is up (more abortions are performed during Republican presidencies), the deficit is out of control, eventually some of the moderate Republicans will say to themselves, "Hmmm.... I guess it's good that gay people aren't marrying each other, but I don't know if it's worth it... Especially since gay people are still falling in love, making commitments and having children...."
