Don't fall for it if the media suddenly seems to get a conscience
It's all part of the plan. Think about it. They have one objective: money. All strategies revolve around it. Getting Bush re-elected was profit related strategy.

Now that the election is over we don't feel as obsessed with watching the news out of desperation for a morsel of truth or objective reporting. We feel betrayed and they KNOW this. They sat around in their boardroom discussing this long before the election was over.

The most obvious and predictable way to "win us back" would be to pretend to fall on the sword. We breathe a collective sigh of relief and keep our eye on them cautiously but hopefully. They pretend to be semi-objective again and we settle for it because it's better than the state-run media we saw prior to the re-election.

And the dollars keep flowing in to the corporations, that is, the Republicans. The fucking Republicans!! The jokes on us if we ever watch the news on t.v. again.

Too little, too late. They enabled shrubbie. They laughed and joked with Drudge and Limbaugh while our soldiers lost limbs or died.

They can go f**k themselves. Especially you Tweety. Your time is coming. You hitched yourself to the incompetent, ideology based bastard and YOU WILL GO DOWN WITH HIM. We will hold you accountable. May take years - but I am up for the fight. Every time you pretend you questioned the rush to war - I will use your own words to damn you. I will play you gushing over Bush's package and fake photo op over and over and over.

you can change your stripes for the repukes. You're just a paid whore to them. You have failed miserably to me - or in the words of your tarnished leader - you have been a "catastrophic success". You will be tied to him forever. Congrats. Hope you enjoy the view as Iraq blows up and our soldiers die ....

8. they'd have to DO a bunch of stuff to make me believe them
actual journalism, asking serious questions and demending answers from bush/cheney and the rest of the rethugs.

it will not happen

we will take back the congress in 2 years, and we will not need the media to do it.

11. I DESPISE the media...
...have for 4 years, will for 4 more. NO cable, NO tv, and I stick mainly to ALTERNATE/INDY sites. GUESS WHAT? I/we are more informed than the sick fucks who swallow the Faux/CNN Kool-aid.

WE DON'T NEED THEM!

15. Yep, I finally realized ...
let the repukes have them. Let them fight for the Fox scraps. They will anyway so why should I care? I will support the media that supports me ... AAR, PBS, TDS, Daily kos and of course, DU.

12. I just deleted MTP, George S., Lou Dobbs and Hardball season passes
from my Tivo. I won't be watching them anymore. From now on it's Democracy Now on Link TV and Franken on Sundance for me. I may still tune in to McLaughlin Group on Saturdays but maybe only for a week or two following the election just to see what O'Donnell has to say.

14. I'm getting my news from the internet.Corporate media is as responsible
as any other institution for the sorry state of affairs we find ourselves in. I'm not going to help fund these blow dried millionaire airheads.
We need to break the stranglehold these conglomerate monsters have on the flow of information in this country. From the stockholders to the talking heads the concern is the bottom line and the profit margin.
I'd like to see a return to the days when the one thing a newsman couldn't afford to lose was his integrity, as opposed to losing their ticket to the lifesytles of the rich and famous.
I'm really hurting from yesterday's results but I'm ready to begin the good fight again. When things get bad in our beautiful country due to this gang now returned to power we here can at least take a measure of cold comfort knowing that we did what we could to prevent it.
