As I leave for the evening, I leave you with this thought:
Right now, we need a leader. A coach. A focus. Someone or something to step up and help us stop the drifting we all are experiencing right now.

A lot of energy was created and a lot expended in the last months. Good people gave in amounts and ways innumerable.

If anyone from the Democratic Party is out there tonight and perhaps reads this: don't leave us to drift. Give us something to do. Soonest. Don't let this all dissapate.

We are still in this fight, but you have your part to do as well.

2. No - we need someone outside the current leadership that has
the MIND, INTELLECT and BALLS to LEAD, NOT SELL US OUT AGAIN!

3. Should we split the party?
We got yelled at by bobble heads saying Kerry had too many people to satisfy under one tent and he couldn't pull it off. They suggested that another Dem leader should pick a subject and drive it home.

???...... We do have many different types of Dems in our tent..is it feasible we should split to make one or the other half stronger?

Just rambling here. Still havn't had enough sleep since the fiasco.

4. We have to be our own leaders
I read somewhere that if you start a movement, then leaders appear. And have you looked at Dean? His actions after the primaries show him to be a leader. Look at his message today. I have a feeling Dean will be the one you're looking for. I hope that Kerry will prove himself to be one as well, but that remains to be seen. Nader, on the other hand, disappears between elections, and so has outed himself as an egomaniac and unfit for any position.

5. excuse me, but fuck leaders, we have to do the heavy lifting ourselves
i refuse to engage in cults of personality (except for springsteen).

howard dean was telling us a year ago that he did not matter, but WE did. remember those words. get out and get involved in your community doing volunteer work. be the change you envision.

political leaders are merely vehicles for the expression of a citizen's ideals in the political arena. they know it, we should too.
