But how do we even survive that long?

What's to stop total nuclear war in the next 4 years? Not the president. Not senate. Not house. Not court. Not media.

On a more personal note, I'll have to register with the SSS in a week. How could there not be a draft in the next 4 years? What's there to keep me from being sent? I'd seriously consider leaving the country, but no one wants Americans now, and who can blame them. And so many of you even on DU are ready to leap all over us for abandoning the country. I'd rather abandon the 57 million bigots here than sacrifice my life for George Bush, thank you very much.

1. 2008 is too far down the road

What are our goals and priorities? Should it be to win the Presidency in 2008? Or should our primary goals be to create a new progressive movement in America?

There should also be a symbolic defeat of radical conservatism here in America. We should start with Santorum in 2006. We have hundreds of thousands of newly registered voters in Pennsylvania - use them to our advantage.
