I feel so bad about my sister
This was her first time voting...and while she isn't a hugely political person, she clearly understands what is happening was wrong. She even said while watching the Daily Show the night of the Kerry interview that she actually liked Kerry...and that her vote wouldn't be just against Bush.

She had an exam yesterday in the night, but knew what she had to do. She got up early and stood in line and voted.

She called my mom up last night and my mom said she was almost crying. This kind of shocked me. Apparently her friend from Massachusetts was bawling.

Just thinking of that makes me choke up.

We all feel like we've been kicked in the stomach.

6. My First Was McGovern in 1972
at least we didn't get wiped off the map the way we did in that election.
I did at least have the satisfaction of living in the only state McGovern carried.

Soon after, as Watergate started to boil up,
"Don't blame me, I'm from Massachusetts"
became a popular sticker.
