I am feeling kinda numb right now.
I was awake for over 24 hour straight from Wednesday morning at about 3am to Thursday 6am. I still tossed and turned until I gave up about 9am. Yesterday I took some meds & finally crashed at about 3pm. Besides getting up for an hour last night I slept until about 4am this morning. I'm still tired, angry, frustrated & very sad. I'm just comported knowing that DU is still here.
Thanks Skinner for the H&S forum.
Hang in there everyone, I think together we will make it.

1. I know how you feel.
I have a dog and 5 cats and they are a big help at a time like this! There was a lot of pet hugging going on yesterday when I got home from work. My pets always cheer me up.

2. I was laying on the couch sobbing yesterday morning and
my 2 dogs did not like that. The kept coming over to nudge my arms & lick my face. They definitely helped.

5. You are right, but I am claiming my right to be depressed for
four days.
Then I will pick myself up & start fighting harder.

6. Oh, don't worry. I am not going
to pieces or anything. Its just that my pets make me feel so much better. Its not just yesterday. Anytime I have a rough day about anything, or I am tired or not feeling well they always make me feel better.

4. I did the same thing, Calico1
I was in shock and depressed all day at work and couldn't wait to get home to my two dogs and cat. They are so loving and entertaining that I don't know what I would do without them.

I couldn't bring myself to watch any of the news at all. If I saw * spouting off about his "mandate" and about "coming together" when he has done everything he could to divide this country, I'd start screaming.

I hasd a few drinks, watched "Lost", which I like, and the Bugs Bunny/Road Runner movie. Nothing like pets, cocktails, and mindless entertainment to shut out the harsh reality for a little while.

7. yesterday was a cold steel day
and like you had much trouble sleeping, today is much the same, more in hangover stage now. I wish I had my dog, but she died last year but I still have family. Anyway, we will get through this troubled time and it's great to have the family of DU always there with you.:toast:
