It is his own hubris, my friends, that will do him in.....
This morning I realized that we were in Act III, Scene I of great Shakespearean drama...

Lear, Hamlet, the Scottish play....

The protagonist has reached the apex of his power, and the imperceptible slip begins. Soon, his hubris, his mistakes will catch up to him..he has sown the seeds of his own destruction, although he and the audience may not be fully aware of them.

We do not know what the seeds are, but they are there. He is calm now, laughing, joking, at the apex of power.

Watch the bit players. They will tell us all.

2. He'll laugh all the way to the bank.
It's all the little people that will be done in by his hubris.

6. yes--many will perish from his hubris---
but in the end, he will topple himself.

I believe this.

Here's a little Bible-thumpin' for ya'....

Hos 8:7 For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk; the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.

The seeds he has sown will grow and bloom into the nastiest stinkweed imaginable.

As you sow, so shall you reap.

5. So true, but in the meantime
we will all suffer from the fall out of his
actions. I now live for the day he falls.
He has placed himself so high that it will be a
LONG way down and I can't wait to watch it happen.
I also gather consolation thinking about the fact
that soon, his hate-based followers will soon suffer
the same future as the rest of us and we will then
be able to say,
"We TOLD you the truth and you didn't listen;
now you are in the same condition we are and
it's YOUR fault, not ours."
