BEST Place For Libs To Do Their Holiday Shopping!
Edited on Thu Nov-04-04 03:43 PM by K8-EEE
All of you in L.A. probably know about this place, but, American Apparel makes a lot of really nice products, (T-shirts, hoodies, underwear) in a SWEATSHOP FREE environment right here in L.A. It's a company that was founded to prove that you CAN employ American workers in manufacturing, pay them a living wage and offer health care too.

Please take a look at the on-line catalog. Our votes may not count -- but you can bet our dollars do, this is just the type of business we really need to support. An Un-Walmart.

4. You know I detest Arnie
but his selection was also ahem, tied to the rise of the machines... as it were

No pun intended.

Now I will put it to you this way... I intend to avoid any red state, any red stae... yes even OH (I have family there, and they are not Freepers, but I inted to avoid suport of ANY red state... so I understand how you feel)

That said, I will not be buying any X-Mas gifts, I can't aford it, but even if I could (and this woudl be the place to go), I will not buy anything beyond the essencials

7. Costco!
They are supporters AND, unlike so many big stores, much of what they carry is US made.

10. Costco Is A GREAT Big Business.
I go there every week.

If you apply for a home loan from their home page using lending tree, after it closes, you get a $100 Costco Gift Card! OMG....I was thrilled to get that!

9. The Stuff Is Really Nice....
and the owners are really doing this as a labor of love and to set an example. It's up to us to give them a shot at it and try the products...they have a lot of cute stuff, I'm getting a couple of things for my daughters...
