Someone just came up to me at work and said
"I'm glad he lost. He was going to take all our guns away."

I asked him what he thought about the assault weapon ban. Is he glad it's gone, or did he not have a problem with it? He said he didn't have a problem with it.

I said, "Then you just bought into the bullshit, because that's all Kerry was saying."

He came back with "but who knows what he would have done once he got in there."

Idiot.

1. Stop debating people like that!!!
It doesn't matter anymore. Just say, "I hope you get what you want but I suspect you'll get what you deserve."

pardon my french. People just want want want to vote for Bushy, and they will invent any rationalization that makes them feel better about it. Connected to any kind of objective reality? No? Who cares?

4. Ask him how he feels about liberals with assault weapons
It's not just conservatives who own guns.

7. I have a friend who used that logic in 2000.
He was in the first wave of layoffs.

I must admit to feeling a bit of schadenfreude when that happened.

8. Since he likes guns so much
maybe he should join the MARINES! Then he can play with guns in Iraq!

12. That sounds like a Wes Clark response
I loved that. "Wanna play with guns? Then I have the perfect place for you. Come and join the Army."

13. AGAIN . . . Kerry's a gun owner and a hunter.
He'd . . . only be shooting himself in the foot were he to do that.

Jesus.
