or that anyone here is pro-China

4. Shitty policy in Tibet, I agree.
But don't smear everyone in China as being anti-Tibet. Do we agree with our government's policy in Iraq?

I know many here blame the Chinese for taking their jobs, but I wonder how many cared about their plight in the 60's and 70's when they were quietly starving? There are 1.3 billion of them, they are industrious and capitalistic in nature and they have finally begun to better themselves....is that a crime?

5. i was referring to the Chinese government
regardless of their economic policies I don't see why anyone would support such a brutal and repressive regime anyway.

3. I saw an interview with Rage Against the Machine one time....
...where one of the band members was wearing a shirt with a hammer and sickle a la the old USSR while waxing eloquent about the brutality of the Chinese occupation of Tibet. I wanted to throw up.

6. wearing a hammer and sickle makes you pro-USSR no more than
wearing a cross makes you in favor of Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson.
