Promoting true Christian values: MLK Day is the vehicle

As i finished commiserating with a black Christian friend of mine about our blessings, it came to me:

If we want to start reclaiming Christ then MLK's patriotic vision is the place to start.

We should begin organizing for massive rallies and an information campaign centered around commemorating MLK day.

Just for your information, quite a few people have been celebrating "a day on, not a day off" for years, but so what? The whole freaking movement is going by the wayside, people should be taking to the Streets right now.......remember Kent State? When people vote for the Bush Crime Family in the numbers they do......I don't think there is any hope. I am sorry but the whole idea of "Christian Values" is something I am going to start denying, not lifting up. The things being done in Christ's name now are way beyond what I am going to lend my name to. Christians shouldn't be about repression and taking peoples rights away..but look at how easy the Anti-Gay Rights movement gets their amendments passed...more than 2 to 1: and we are going to counter that??? Sorry but I am not going to tout Christian Values as a way to change their minds, but if you are interested in MLK, go to MLK.org.
