1. Schoolteachers for *?!
WTF, is that like the NAACP supporting Strom Thurmond?! How can there be such a thing? Didn't the * administration call the NEA a "terrorist organization"? :grr:

2. LOL - nice touch, the enlistment form. They'd also better make
sure their car is paid up and they have about 24 months worth of "emergency" savings because it takes longer these days to find a job once yours has been "outsourced."

4. As a teacher it drives me crazy when other teachers
vote for shrub! They're the first ones to complain about No Child Left Behind (a euphimism for teachers aren't doing their job), "accountability", vouchers, "competition", etc.

5. My union co-workers
I am in a union and am shocked at how many people I work with voted for Bush. They were crowing the other day about the Bush "win" and I told them that "any union member that voted for Bush is a fucking idiot."

I didn't hear another word from them after that...don't they get it? They are so worried about having to pay more in taxes that they don't see the big picture. You need a job to pay taxes, and Bush and his cronies are certainly no friends of unions.

We are in deep shit.

7. Take the elements of the Gilded era, Depression, 50s, and
Viet Nam...

and you won't even come close to what is coming next.

8. One of my teacher coworkers wore her W buttons to school yesterday
She's been a rabid, psychotic Bush supporter all year long. Yes, she IS a moron. Perhaps not coincidentally, she's also one of those teachers who you can hear screaming through the wall, and most of her work week involves passing out worksheets and showing movies.

We stared at her, and stared at her buttons. After five minutes or so, she took the jacket off of her shoulders so that the buttons were no longer visible. SHe looked uncomfortable, and I was glad. Whem she began speaking about a "clear majority," I pointed out that 60-40 would have been a clear majority, 51-49 is something else entirely.

Bitch.
