figured out who stole my kerry signs the morning after

http://www.kansas.com/mld/kansas/10101622.htm

A promotion by two radio stations offering $1 for each campaign yard sign listeners turned in has upset the Sedgwick County Republican and Democratic parties and a few candidates.

People motivated by two radio stations' rewards of more than $5,000 in cash and prizes led people to yank signs from private property, party leaders and candidates said today.

"It was a clever idea, but it needed a little more thought," state Sen. Les Donovan said.

The idea was to help clean up the political signs left on public property around Wichita the day after the election, said Barry McKay, program director for The Buzz 105.3 FM, one of the stations involved.

Sedgwick County parties combined received more than 120 calls from people complaining about missing signs. It's unclear how many of the incidents are tied to the promotions.

The problem, political leaders said, is that some residents paid $2 or $3 to purchase presidential campaign signs. Many did so with hoping that they'd become political collectibles and local candidates, who spent thousands of dollars on yard signs, often reuse them.

1. So what are you going to do about it?
Here in Houston we caught 3 teenagers stealing our signs in front of the headquarters in the day light, while we were IN THE HQs!

We turned them into the police. They have a trial date.

We were going to drop it, but then thought What would Republicans Do?

So they are going to get a record and a $400 fine each.

3. GOOD!
I wish I could have caught the little punks who were stealing ours.

I'd have loved to have done the same thing.

95% sure who it was, but not enough to make a charge stick.

4. File theft charges against the station
It will make news. Go to the police station. File the report, call the news stations. I bet it will get some news.
